My mantra is any day I can pedal is a good day, and that goes double on days I can ride to work. Yesterday was one of those days, and I had my camera to boot. One thing about riding on the American River Trail are all the opportunities for great photos. I love photographing nature and man-made objects and my ride exposes me to many of these.
This photo is underneath I-80 looking up at the highway. Pretty simple to be sure, but I love straight lines and steel and concrete. Were there some glass in this shot it would have all my favorite architectural elements.
A little later on my ride I saw this boat speeding down the Sacramento River, and with the sun setting in the west over the opposite bank I put the brakes on and took out my little Lumix, perfect for quick shots. With furlough Friday popping up tomorrow hopefully I’ll be able to get in some real miles this weekend. Peace.
